My last entry was about my one of my best friends Virginie and the adventures we've had around Europe and of course in Madrid that weekend of Innocence's first 2 concerts.. I'll never forget Daniel, the French security Guard in the Metro who told Vivi in french (he was French too) what he planned to do with me.... I guess he didn't think she'd tell me afterwards.
This next part is about how as well as no time limit on friendship, there is no age limit either. i discovered that in October 2005 in London when me and my mum ventured down to London's South Bank for yes you guessed it to see IL DIVO. They were due to appear on a show and at 10.00 am they had a meet and Greet with the fans. I was chatting to a lady who said her 12 year old Grandaughter loved Sebastien and she wanted to get his autograph for her, the next thing I knew there were 2 guys one with a microphone and the other with a video camera and they said they were doing a documentary about Il Divo and they wanted to interview the fans. God I didn't think that nearly 2 months later I would be known as "Aren't you the girl from the "Encore" DVD?"
Anyway they asked us which Divo was our favorite and apparantly saying I loved Carlos because of his voice was not enough (His Voice is incredible) they asked the Lady Norma what else would she like to see and she said "Carlos wearing nothing but a white Apron" I thought it was hysterical. but when we were waiting in the queue to enter the building for the show she had us all in stitches with her stories. we all exchanged numbers cuz I thought it would be great to go and meet Norma for a drink.
The next thing I knew when the First world tour was announced, I told her I was going to the IL DIVO concert in Dublin for my birthday.. she asked if she could join me and I said sure... baring in mind we'd only met 3 weeks earlier. I went around for to her place often for lunch or to watch a video. She asked me how would she be able to get some of the things like the books or the calender and I told her over the internet but because she was afraid to use her credit card I would get what ever it was for her. she would just give me the money for what ever it was and hey presto.
We've had some fun since meeting.. 3 days before my birthday we ventured down to GMTV with 3 other IL DIVO fans to meet Carlos and David. I'll never forget Carlos' words when I told him I wanted a photo of him of me and NOrma... it was "Oh two of you together... fantastic!" we almost collapsed laughing... good job he was there to hold us up.
Not many people have met Norma... she's in her late 60's. I know she's old enough to be my grandma but who cares. Norma acts like a 21 year old despite her health problems... diabetes being one of them. She's quite tough too. she's from the East part of London and they don't take shit from anyone. I call her "Mummy Norma" cuz when we use to go out on our little adventures she would look after me. We even went to Madrid in December 2005 together and it was fun. Well apart from the 3 flights of stairs of our hotel and walking down El Rastro.. she thought it was a scream.. .especially Aranjuez.. If there were more people like Norma, no matter what age.. the world would be a much more fun place.
In my final blog about my best friends, I will tell you about how 3 people from different walks can be brought together by self discoveries that they make and the road that brings together.

Norma sounds like a wonderful lady! What adventures you've had and the people you've met because of Il Divo! I can't wait to read the 3rd installment.
Love it Tina!
I wish I will meet Norma sometimes!I think we all would have great fun together!
True friendship has nothing to do with age, time or anything else for that matter! it just IS!
Take care!
My friend!
